Notes: in addition, the following defects are present in all vehicles:
  1. The road wheel and return roller greasers do not hold grease.
  2. The track links are heavily worn. One track had to be removed from each.
  3. Not a single spare sight head is present.
  4. 5 tanks that arrived from repair factory #137 have no warranty period in their logs.
  5. Repair factory #82 established a warranty period of 800 km or 100 engine hours.
  6. The tanks that arrived had travelled 160 km on average and worked for 18 hours, including the test run."

  1. Some time ago I discussed on this blog about ratio between number of Shermans which was received by Soviets and number of Shermans which was lost during transport. According Zaloga book, from 4102 M4A2 tanks which was send to USSR, 3664 was received (438 sunk). That's mean that my estimations from 2019 can be described as flawed: http://www.tankarchives.ca/2019/03/struggle-for-assembly-line.html
