The M12, maybe the 6th vehicle or so in the column, would pull to the side onto the pavement and send a solid AP round, not HE, down the street at waist height and parallel with the street, aimed to clip the face of the row of houses all along that street. It would tear holes along all the houses, allowing GIs to gain rapid entry, concealed by a cloud of dust, and would stun the shit out of anyone inside the rooms. 1 shot, 10 holes open up, storm troops go in.
