Whe...I'm confused about the 45 mm 1937 results. When it says:

45 mm model 1937 gun: from 300 meters at a straight angle the shell penetrates the outer armour, strikes the inner armour, and shatters, dealing damage to gun mechanisms, its crew, and the engines.

This refers to where? The front? The sides? The rear? I'm thinking the sides, as it also says later, the only instance where the impact area is specific:

Firing at the front from 100 meters with subcaliber shot, the projectile penetrates 50-60 mm and the core remains in the armour. The armour piercing shell makes a 25-30 mm deep dent.

Stewart Millenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01261690405884935161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030145265861917845.post-75949479733157076732021-04-14T14:53:26.088-04:002021-04-14T14:53:26.088-04:00God's Teeth! Seems like the 85mm gun had rather more effect than I'd imagine against 200mm armour. A very good illustration of the effectiveness of small, light incendiary bottles which should be remembered by those who send tanks into areas where infantry can get close. Fascinating reading Thank You. Nicholas Perryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16323353264938130801noreply@blogger.com
