The estimated price for capital repairs of an A-34 vehicle is 226,208.

For the contract, let's take 200,000. After the repairs are complete, the final payment will be made according to calculations and will not exceed the original estimate by more than 50% with a 5.33% interest, so 316,000 rubles."

  1. What is an A-34? And why does it cost more to repair than it costs to make a T-34 if they are similar?

    1. An A-34 is the prototype of the T-34. It costs a lot because none of these parts are in mass production yet.

  3. I can figure out who gets the taxes and fees but, who gets the "profit" on something like this?

    It does seem a little circular though that the government is paying taxes and fees to itself.

    1. The government isn't one monolithic entity. Factories squabbling about costs with the NKSM/NKTP was not an uncommon scenario.
