Ship tanks in batches of at least 10. Each delivery should be reported in cipher to the 4th BTU department with precise records of when, at what station, and how many tanks were sent, and a telegram sent to the commander of armoured forces of the receiving station.

Announce each shipment 7 days in advance to the 4th BTU department in order to assign the shipment a military tracking number.

QA and guards should be called up in advance from the unit that is receiving the tanks. Delivery of tanks without QA is strictly forbidden.

The schedule for remaining tanks will be given separately.

  1. What where the reasons to ship in batches of at least 10? Was it to make the transports less personal heavy? As in you only need a (larger) group of guards once instead of 10 times?

    1. Locomotives were in short supply in the USSR. Requisitioning a locomotive for a military train meant that something else (goods, food, people) won't move. The T-34 was important, but not that important.
