OT-810/Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.C at Aquino Tank Weekend 2019

The Sd.Kfz.251 was one of the few German army vehicles to see any post-war service. Not only that, it was produced in Czechoslovakia under the index OT-810. Dubbed "Hitler's revenge" by the soldiers, it did not prove very popular, but it did ensure that reenactors dressed as German infantrymen would not have to walk to the battlefield.

  1. Were the Czech's producing the early pattern 251 model with the angled rear doors a on this 251/1C or were the OT-810 based on the latern patern 251/1D(?) without the angle inthe middle of the rear door and armour?

    1. There was also an Ausf.D present at the event (photo/video coming next week). I don't know if it's Czech or not, the control panel looks different and the only label on it is too worn out to tell if it's Czech or German.

  2. Can't say I like those narrow back doors. But I like the reclined benches in back.
