are these values legit ? somme look really optimist

I was wonder if this was a summary of test firing data, or calculated values. I agree with "Nope", some of these values look optimistic (76, 85) some look pessimistic (KV-122; 152 mm).
ReplyDeleteI don't recognize some of the shell names ("APT-365"; "APT-365 SP").
Armour piercing tracer, 365 is the code for 85 mm shells. Not sure what the SP suffix is.
DeleteOops, just caught "experimental firing data" at the top. So these *are* real field test values.
DeleteInteresting that the Panther's mantlet resisted the 76 mm APCR round while the upper plate did not. Interesting to see the non-APCR 85mm round do well against all the Panther's front. Still think the 122 mm "KV-122" (IS-122") would wreak havoc out to 2k.
This looks like a 1944 test. Any idea on the month?
