Brief and specific description of heroism or achievements: In battle during the penetration of enemy defenses at height 209,7, on difficult terrain, under heavy fire, he tenaciously led his company forward. He destroyed a gun and a mortar with precise fire from his tank, allowing the main forces to move up.

In battles near Hodorovo, when his tank was knocked out, Tishenko did not abandon his company, moved to another tank, and returned to battle, destroying the enemy.

On November 4th, 1943, in darkness, he led his company to penetrate enemy defenses. Having penetrated into the rear and captured Svetoshino with a skilful maneuver, he cut off enemy communications along the Kiev-Zhitomir highway and guaranteed the penetration of main forces and the capture of Kiev. Tishenko personally destroyed an enemy heavy tank. Bursting into an area with two workshops, Tishenko prevented enemy tankers from evacuating two tanks. He captured them, put up guards, and continued to fight. Having cut off the Kiev-Zhitomir highway, comrade Tishenko continued to pursue the enemy, bursting into an enemy column and crushing up to 20 cars and 15 carts. Despite being in the enemy rear at night, he successfully organized a defense and pursued the retreating enemy.

For demonstrated courage and heroism on the front against German invaders, he is worthy of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
